Family policies
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
When to keep your child home
A child with a fever, vomiting or a contagious illness stays home until they are well and have been without a fever for a day. If a child becomes unwell here, we call you right away and a teacher stays close until you arrive.
Drop-off and pickup
An adult greets every child at the door and signs them in. At pickup a child goes only with the people on your list, and we ask for ID at the door until we know you.
Late pickup
If you are running late, call or text us and a teacher will stay with your child. The enrollment agreement says what happens when a family is regularly late.
Meals, snacks and allergies
We serve a morning snack of fruit and something simple, and school-day families send lunch from home. Tell us about allergies at the tour; we ask privately once you enroll. We ask families not to send nuts.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close for the main holidays and for a winter and a spring break, and the dates page lists them by month. If weather makes the roads or the building unusable, we text families early in the morning.
Leaving the program
We ask for a month's notice before a child leaves, so we can offer the place to a family on the waitlist. Tell the director in person or by email.
What to wear and bring
Children wear clothes they can get messy in, and bring a full change of clothes, rain boots and a rain jacket for the yard. The studio has aprons, and the coat room has a hook for each child.
Visit
Come to the studio on a Tuesday or Thursday morning
A tour takes about 45 minutes. You see the studio, the room and the yard on a real morning, and we answer whatever you ask.
